"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

God's Simple Plan of Salvation

Do you know if you died today that you would go to heaven?

If you could be certain that you can go to heaven someday when you die, are you willing do what the Bible says?  God tells you that you can know for sure that you are going to Heaven when you die.

"These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God."  (1 John 5:13)

1. God loves you and has a purpose for your life.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal life." – John 3:16

God wants you to receive eternal life as a free gift.

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." – Romans 6:23

God wants you to live and full and meaningful life right now.

"I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly." – John 10:10

God wants you to spend eternity in heaven with Jesus when you die.

"In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also." – John 14:2-3

2. Sin keeps you from fulfilling God's purpose for your life.

God wants you to know that you are a sinner.

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." – Romans 3:23

God wants you to you to know that you cannot save yourself.

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." â?? Ephesians 2:8-9

God wants you know that you deserve death and hell.

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. – Romans 6:23

3. God has provided a way for you to be saved and go to heaven.

God wants you to know that Jesus is God who became man.

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." – John 1:1, 14

God wants you to you to know that Jesus died for you.

"For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:" – 1 Peter 3:18

"All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all." – Isaiah 53:6

God wants you know that Jesus rose from the dead.

"Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification." – Romans 4:25

4. God says that you must receive Jesus into your life.

God wants you to know that you must repent.

"Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;" – Acts 3:19

"But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance." – Acts 26:20

God wants you to you to know that you must have faith in Jesus.

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God" – Ephesians 2:8

"Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble." – James 2:19

God wants you know that you must commit your life to Jesus as Lord.

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." – Romans 10:9-10

5. God says you must ask Jesus to save you.

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." – Romans 10:9-10

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." – Romans 10:13

Take God at His Word and claim His promise for your salvation. There are no magic words to say, as God looks on the heart. Pray something like this, in your own words, and ask Jesus Christ to forgive your sins and save your soul:

"Dear Lord, I know that I am a sinner. I believe that you love me so much that you sent your Son, Jesus, to die for my sins.  I believe that Jesus is God and that he shed His blood on the cross in order to save me from my sins.  I repent of my sin and put my trust in Jesus as my only way to heaven.  Lord, forgive me and come into my heart, save me and take control of my life right now."
